Green hydrogen and Power-to-X fuels such as ammonia and methanol are key to decarbonising industry, shipping and aviation. The research assesses their market potential, the infrastructure needed across Europe, the design of subsidies for hard-to-abate sectors, and how Power-to-X plants interact with spot and balancing electricity markets.
It is the focus of PtXMarkets, a project coordinated at DTU and funded by Innovation Fund Denmark, as well as several PhD projects.
